Many weeks ago on a Thursday afternoon I went to Accent for QM shopping. On the way back, I couldn’t help but overhear what the auntie behind me was talking about.

She used to live in Johor, I heard. Then she went on to say something about her son getting caught, and thrown into jail.

……“哎哟，跟你讲，我每天晚上都睡不好叻……真的是要苦又哭不出……”

Then she went to talk about how the family and the girlfriend of the guy pitied him, and that he was somehow framed or sabotaged or whatever.

Such a sad story…

A classmate (I’m not naming) wrote it on the board today.

PA Intifada

--> String Orch, Chinese Orch, Band.

This year the sports groups in our school did not do really well (compared to history), but musical groups are getting better.

Probably due to the teapot-isation of the society nowadays?

Hmm…

This year is extremely significant for the musical groups in our school. Band and CO got GWH this year. Tomorrow is SO’s SYF.

Traditionally, the 3 instrumental musical groups in the school viewed each other as rivals. Someone gets GWH the other ones 不爽。Someone gets silver and some others snigger.

It is time for all 3 to work hand in hand, get that triple GWH, and slam it in the school’s face! (of course not so violent lah…)

I saw that some bandits have been concerned that the SO will get a GWH and then worry that we our 1st GWH in history will become less significant. NO! We need SO’s GWH, so that we have that TRIPLE GWH. Think of how the school will realise that the performing arts are not merely a Cat B ep3. The school will have a strong reason to increase our funding for our development. The triple GWH amplifies the effect, right?

I’m quite impressed when I heard about the St Nick’s performing arts concert. It shows that performing arts groups DO have the ability to work together and APPRECIATE each other.

Time to walk out of the 封建思想。

Show the school that we are improving together.

Let the school realise that we are not just ep3s or ccas.

We do not only decipher the random 豆芽s on paper and make sound.

Set the perimeters for “everything else is noise”.
